Hi.

Welcome to my new-ish blog.
I write about a mish-mash of things, whatever takes my fancy, when it takes my fancy. I am working on consistency though… 2022 is my year, right!

I don’t think I’m anyone special, I do love a good story though.
I firmly believe we all have various chapters in our lives that we progress through. We can’t skip pages, each one we turn reveals something new.

I just want to share some of my story without being a slave to providing content or trying to influence anyone about anything.
My opinions are my own and this is my experience, nothing more.

I try to read a lot, usually have music in the background, and I’ll break into spontaneous dance if the song is a good one.

I practice what I preach: kindness and coming from a place of love. I’m a gentle soul for the most part, working on self love, healing, and growth.

I’ve removed a lot of content from over the years giving the website a refresh, keeping things relevant, and building upon new knowledge and experiences

I hope you’ll stay for a bit and enjoy reading me.

Thank you.

Trix Class

Trix Class

Well I have finally found the time, read that as grown a pair, and attended some casual classes I had been putting off.

I've been poling for almost three whole months now. I still feel like such a newbie and I'm sure that will continue for a very long time to come. Not that I have an issue with being a newbie, it's having confidence in my abilities. I know it'll resolve with time and lots of practice.

Okay, back to these casual's I've finally taken.

First up, last Saturday I did a Trix class with our blonde glamazon instructor Karla. The woman has the patience of a saint, no scratch that, the patience of...  (I have just dicked about with Google for the past ten minutes trying to find another cliché to use and have failed) she has the patience of something with even more patience than a saint that Google doesn't know about yet. Whoa I win the cliché fail.

In the Trix class there were eight of us, I was the only one who hadn't done a Trix class before. Before you tut-tut me reread paragraph two - lacks confidence in abilities.

We were evenly divided into two: a group of more advanced polers, and a group of new-ish or beginners or hadn't done it for a while ones. I of course was in the latter group. Karla divided her time between the two groups keeping and eagle eye on us all. She got the experienced ones up and running while we ogled and then came and asked if there were specific tricks we wanted to learn. We were all pretty much open to anything. So forty five minutes later I had mastered, in an amateurish way, four whole new pole tricks, completely different tricks to what we learn as part of our level courses. I just wish for the life of me I could remember their names. I'm going to have to start writing them down.

I did get pics/video this time, which is a great motivator. Great for proof of achievement, technique correction, and so I can see improvements in the months to come. I will waste heaps of time shortly finding a flattering'ish still from one of the video snips to post here. Pffft what, you think I'd find the worst. If only I knew how to Photoshop lol. Nah, I'm kinda what you see is what you get chick.

Frowning with concentration, notice I'm getting muscle definition in my thighs, liking it!

This looks really pretty with one arm off and fully extended out, but I had my tongue out on that bit...
